Modeling successful people. Any endeavor you aim to take, determine who is the best at it and figure out what they are doing.

WHAT ARE ONE OF THE COMMON MISTAKES YOU SEE PEOPLE MAKING IN THE PROCESS OF GROWING A MEMBERSHIP SITE?

One of them is: if you build it they will come. Thinking if you just put up a site and you blog what you think is cool, if you just do it long enough and hard enough that people will think that that same thing is cool. If you build it they will come: sure fire way to failure.
